Soccer Schools are back with a new twist with the introduction of Wow! Days.
This is a day filled with football-based activities, such as footgolf and FIFA tournaments in the Leisure Pod at Tapton Park Golf Club.
Aimed at kids aged 5-13, the new programme gets underway on August 4 at 9am so parents can conveniently drop off their kids on their way to work.
The trust’s physical education lead, Robert Stevenson, said: “We wanted to add something fresh and new so we have added a Friday Wow! Day to try and find things in the local area to have kids engaging with something.
“Working in partnership with Tapton Golf Club, we involve the footgolf there and the Leisure Pod, which has access to all sorts of fun activities such as pool and Nintendo Switch for FIFA tournaments. There is also a grass patch which we can use for football activities.
“It’ll be a nice, fun day. There are only 30 places available so you have to get in quickly to secure your place.”
Attendees will need to bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids as the day will likely be very hot.
