Chesterfield FC Community Trust is one of the charities chosen by Councillor Mick Brady, the new mayor of Chesterfield, and Councillor Suzie Perkins, the mayoress, for the Mayor’s Appeal.
The Trust has been selected alongside the Chesterfield Royal Hospital Charity.
Money raised from the appeal will help support the various programmes delivered by the Trust.
Jayne Bacon, the Trust’s chief operating officer, welcomed the announcement, saying: “The Trust are delighted to have the support of this year’s mayor and mayoress.
“Together we can continue to grow stronger communities in Chesterfield and spread the word about the great work being achieved.
“Additional funding through the appeal will make such a difference and enable us to reach more families in need across the town.
“A big thank you from all the team at Trust and we very much look forward to your visits – a warm welcome awaits!”
