Mandeville named Trust’s Player of the Year

Congratulations to Liam Mandeville, who was named the Trust’s Player of the Year at last night’s End of Season Awards event at the SMH Group Stadium.

Host Nick Johnson read out the following words before announcing the winner of the award…

Since the return to the EFL, the PFA player visits have been a huge part of the Trust’s work with Chesterfield FC. The players have visited primary schools, military veterans groups, Senior Spireites exercise classes, knitting groups and so much more.

The whole squad have attended our Remembrance Service and visited the Children’s Ward at the Royal Hospital and Ashgate Hospice to give out presents at Christmas. The project has been described by the PFA as the leading example of how it should be done in the north of the country.

The Trust want to thank Jamie Grimes and Danny Webb for their support.
The winner has attended schools, met with the Trust’s Football and Education students, visited the military veterans group and been an ambassador on the EFL Creative Minds project.
