Former Spireites attend launch of dementia support group

A number of former Chesterfield players attended the launch of a dementia support group at Sheffield United recently.

Organised by former Sheffield United and England star Tony Currie, monthly ‘Memory Lane’ meetings are planned at Bramall Lane to help support former footballers who are affected by dementia, together with their families.

The likes of Colin Prophett, Les Hunter, Bill Dearden, Dave Bentley, Steve Cammack and Charlie Williamson were in attendance, together with former Spireites manager Frank Barlow.
