Coaching duo Steph O’Brien and Andrea Parkinson have taken charge of Chesterfield FC Women’s first team.
After a playing career that included nine years with Sunderland AFC Women, including an FA Cup Final in 2009, Steph moved into coaching where she worked at Derby County and Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Andrea also had a ten-year playing career, before turning to coaching where she gained valuable experience during her time with Sheffield FC.
The duo will oversee the newly-formed women’s team as well as supporting the girls’ academy and ETC.
Academy manager Neil Cluxton said: “We are delighted to appoint Steph and Andrea and we wish them all the best for the forthcoming 2022/23 season.”
The next Chesterfeld FC Women’s first-team trials will take place tomorrow (Monday) and Friday, July 22, with both sessions starting at 7pm.
