Andrea Parkinson was presented with a shirt and certificate by chief executive John Croot at half time in Saturday’s game against Oldham Athletic to mark her tenth anniversary as a member of the Community Trust staff.
Andrea joined the Trust on February 23, 2013, becoming the third member of the team, alongside John Croot and Andy Morris.
Andrea joined as a coach to deliver on the schools’ programme and holiday clubs. Andrea loves all things football, from playing, working her way through all coaching awards to recently becoming UEFA B qualified and securing her dream role to lead the Chesterfield FC Women’s team. Andrea is a true Spireite and has followed the team her whole life, alongside her Dad, and Aunty Mary – who loved their football too.
During her ten years at the Trust, Andrea has completed a BSC degree in Health-Related Exercise & Fitness through Staffordshire University. She has delivered at Camp America, and secured a role last year as wellbeing manager, where she successfully leads on many outstanding projects – Senior Spireites, Active4Life, Affected by Cancer, Camp Inspire and Aspire Right. Andrea is knowledgeable and has made great connections with statutory agencies. She is hard working, caring and passionate about the Trust and the positive impact the projects have on the community.
Andrea even had her wedding at the stadium in 2018, having photos taken on the pitch and celebrating with her family and friends from the club and Trust.
THANK YOU, Andrea, for ten incredible years of service, you’re an amazing ambassador and we are all very lucky to have you on the team.
Chief executive John Croot said: “It’s been a pleasure to be part of Andrea’s journey, from a desk in the corner of a Portakabin to leading on some of the Trust’s most prestigious projects. Well done and thank you from us all!”
